"You can if you THINK you can" written by Norman Vincent Peale---This is one of my favourite books! The title says it all. The book is about keeping positive thoughts in your mind. If you have negative thoughts, negative things start happening to you. There are a couple of stories (real ones) that I always think about when I am feeling low, and almost ready to give up.
One of them is the story of Walt Disney - its incredible, how he never stopped focusing on his dream and never gave up. The story goes something like this. There was this young guy, who loved drawing and painting; he was an artist. He wanted to work as an artist. So he ventured away from home to try and get work as an artist. Unfortunately, many doors were closed for that opportunity. But he did not give up. He kept on trying, until one day he came to a village, and he found a job doing minor artist jobs - nothing that paid too much I am sure. But he took the job and asked for a studio to live and work in. All that was available was a little place which was infested with mice. That was the beginning of Mickey Mouse!!
Doesn't that story inspire you at all? He never quit. The one thing that all sorts of people, for that matter, do, is when we are in times of trouble or something that we feel is too big to handle, is that we quit, give up. Forget it, we say, I cannot do it. Its too hard! NO. If you think like a quitter, you will be living like one. We need to think like successful people, whatever the path of life we choose to take, whatever the work we do. You never know, the answer to your problem might be just round the corner!!
So the secret in life is to stay motivated. We HAVE to think positive. We are champions, we are going to make it work. If you don't succeed, try and try again right? Yes, its true. But, with one little difference.
If the method that you are using at the moment, does not work, whatever it is that you are trying to do... go about it a different way. Eventually, you will find the right method of dealing with the issue that you are facing at that time. It sounds hard, but really its not. The main thing is that you keep positive thoughts in your mind. Instead of using words like IF, use words like WHEN. NO is such a horrible word. YES is so much more positive. I WILL not I WON'T. I CAN not I CANNOT. The book says it all - You can if you THINK you can. Read the book - I found it very inspiring! If you must, but don't you quit!

Often the goal is nearer than it seems to a faint and faltering man, Often the struggler has given up When he might have captured the victor's cup, And he learned too late, when the night slipped down, How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out; The silver tints of the clouds of doubt; And you never can tell how close you are, It may be near when it seems afar; So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit, It's when things seem the worst that you mustn't quit.
